Meet your coach

A running coach should help you build a training approach that works with your life rather than make you feel like your life has to revolve around the training plan.

Your work, family responsibilities, physical and mental health, neurodivergence, confidence, previous experiences, available time and access to safe running spaces can all affect your training. A good training plan needs to account for that. And as someone who lives with ADHD, autism and Hashimoto's myself, I get that life can be complicated and messy.

I coach runners of all abilities, you don't need to be fast, experienced, or training for a particular kind of event. Whether you're preparing for your first race, working towards a new distance, returning after time away, or just want a more consistent and enjoyable relationship with running, we'll start with where you are now, and what you'd like running to become.

I will help you build a running routine that is realistic, sustainable and that moves you towards your goals while responding sensibly when life changes. All in a space where you don't have to explain yourself, brace for misgendering or hide who you are.

I try to keep prices as accessible as I can by operating a sliding scale; supported, standard and supporter. The prices shown below are the Standard rate. See How the sliding scale works further down if cost is a barrier or if you can afford to support others. You don't need to explain or justify anything.

Foundation

For runners who want a clear training structure, access to coaching advice and the support of an inclusive community.

Foundation gives you the guidance and accountability while you manage your day-to-day training independently. You'll choose an appropriate plan from the training-plan library (all plans are written by me) and get support from me applying it to your own running. A good fit when you want more than a free training plan you found online, but don't yet need something written specifically for you.

What's included:

  • Access to the Queer Runnings training-plan library, covering a range of distances and goals

  • Training plan delivered through Final Surge, a free to you coaching platform. Arrange sessions on the calendar, sync your GPS watch or tracking app and keep track of what’s happening.

  • Weekly group coaching calls with me (Zoom)

  • Access to the private Queer Runnings Discord community where you can find support, accountability and a wealth of kindness.

  • Weekly social calls ( on Zoom) to connect with other members

  • Regular coaching guidance, resources and once monthly training talk on various running and gear related topics

This could suit you if: you want a reliable structure and regular access to a coach, but you're comfortable following a non-individualised plan and making some training decisions yourself with access to expert guidance.

Personalised

Comprehensive

For runners who want a personalised training plan built around their goals, experience, schedule and wider life.

Rather than a pre written plan, you'll get a training plan I write specifically for you, reflecting your fitness, running background, available time, preferences and goals. Get support and guidance during once weekly group coaching calls or direct message

Everything in Foundation, plus:

  • A personalised training plan, written by me, based on your coaching questionnaire

  • Sessions tailored to your current experience and ability

  • Written feedback on your progress once a month

  • Training plan delivered through Final Surge, a free to you coaching platform. Arrange sessions on the calendar, sync your GPS watch or tracking app and keep track of what’s happening.

For runners who want wrap around one-to-one support across training, recovery, nutrition, fuelling and race preparation.

This is the highest contact/support option. A personalised training programme (both running and strength training), weekly 1:1 coaching calls, daily DM support as you need it, nutrition and fuelling support. This isn't just for people chasing ambitious finish times; it's for anyone who'd benefit from a coach closely involved in the process.

Everything in Personalised, plus:

  • 1:1 intro consultation before your training begins (zoom, 45-60mins)

  • Up to once weekly 1:1 coaching calls (30minutes)

  • Messaging support as needed between calls

  • Plan adjustments as and when you need it, no need to wait until group coaching calls.

  • Individual race-planning and preparation support

  • Minset support/guidance

  • Nutrition and fuelling guidance for training and events, including race-day fuelling strategy

(Nutrition coaching supports your training but doesn't replace medical care or treatment from a registered dietitian where clinical support is needed.)

This could suit you if: you want a close, collaborative relationship with your coach, your circumstances change frequently, you're preparing for a challenging or longer-distance goal, or confidence and motivation regularly affect your training.
