A queer running community you can join from anywhere.
Community membership
An online club for queer runners. Somewhere to share the wins and the wobbles, with people who get it.
From £10 a month. Cancel any time.
For anyone who can't access an in-person queer run club, or wants one they can take part in on their own terms.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Some members live somewhere rural with no queer running club nearby. Some live somewhere it isn't safe to be out. Some find an in-person club hard to walk into, even when there is one. And some just don't want their running community to depend on being in a particular place at a particular time every week, especially if a chronic condition means their energy comes and goes. Whatever brought you here, you take part as and when you want, rather than having to be on form on a schedule
"I've tried to join running clubs before but never found a place I felt at home till I found Queer Runnings."
— Lucy (She/Her)
WHAT YOU GET
What’s in the club
Nothing is compulsory. Take the bits that serve you and leave the rest.
DISCORD
Members-only community
A welcoming Discord server where members share wins and wobbles, ask about gear and training, get encouragement when motivation is low and talk about life beyond running.
WEEKLY
Club social call
Alternating Tuesday & Wednesdays, 18:00 to 19:30 UK time on Zoom. No structure, no painful icebreakers, camera on or off. Drop in for five minutes or stay the whole time, it’s up to you.
MONTHLY
Movie night
One Sunday a month at 19:00 UK time. Running and outdoor adventure films, watched together in sync with a chat running alongside. Always free-to-access films, so no extra subscriptions.
QUARTERLY
Book club
Four running themed books a year and a relaxed meet to chat about them every third month. Come having finished the book, half finished it, or just wanting the company.
TOGETHER
Collective virtual challenges
From time to time the club takes on a shared virtual challenge, like covering a long-distance trail between us. You run where you normally run, the miles add up, and there's a weekly update on how far we've got. Join in if you fancy it.
SUPPORT
Peer accountability
A space to ask for a nudge from the club in real time ("I'm running at 4, can someone make sure I get out?"), a weekly intentions check-in, and the 5 Wins channel for ending the week on a good note.
PERKS
Discounts and extras
15% off at Sportsshoes with the club code, free or discounted race entries when events offer places to the club, and reduced prices on Queer Runnings programmes and workshops.
YOUR PACE, YOUR TERMS
The club runs entirely online, so it works wherever you live and whatever your week looks like. Socials happen on UK time, the Discord is there whenever you are.
Join in as much or as little as you like.
"Queer Runnings is so supportive, fun and helpful not just for running but for all things Queer. It is the community I had always been missing."
— AJ (They/Them)
